Do what I usually do.....at every oil change...(and transmission fluid change) take the whole engine out......and then do the cleaning....easy as pie....but if you don't want to do that...you can always get some plastic bags and cover up the Dizzy caps, valve cover (use a floor mat not cloth but rubber one) and if you have an exposed air filter...cover that up too .....then spray some degreaser into the engine bay...I use a sprayer to get into every inch of my bay.....and then step back and do your rims while you wait.....if you are finished with that then proceed to wash the greasy engine off with some misty spray of water and then start the scrubbing with some sponges......after that...you can spray the whole thing down...don't forget under the hood......If you have a Hoist....bring the whole car up a level and do the undercarriage.....might as well do the entire undercarriage of the car from front to back while you are under there...just becareful about safety measures of the hoist....
Then if you want....do the rest of your car.....
Its all fun if you do this with a girl or two wearing some white tees.....it works for me.....
